Christine Cole Biederman
BIO
Christine Cole-Biederman has a rich and varied professional history. A fourth-generation Texan, she grew up in the Dallas area and has lived there most of her life. Immediately out of law school, she worked as a commercial litigator for several of the state’s largest and most prestigious law firms as well as for the FDIC.
A gifted writer, Ms. Cole-Biederman briefly detoured from the practice of law in the late nineties to work as an investigative reporter. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Wired, The New York Times Magazine, The Village Voice and Texas Monthly, among other outlets. In the early aughts, she returned to the practice of law at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas, where she began doing criminal work and soon discovered a passion for it. In 2005, she left to enter private practice.
Ms. Cole-Biederman offers her clients unmatched dedication and service in the areas of criminal defense and civil litigation. She is aggressive, innovative and smart, with a wide-ranging knowledge of the law. A member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, she spends considerable time keeping abreast of the latest legal developments. Equally at home in state or federal court, she has collaborated with some of the state’s–and the nation’s–best attorneys. She is responsive, caring, creative, compassionate and, most importantly, gets excellent results.
Over the years she has served as a consultant on a number of films and podcasts and has been featured in connection with many of her articles and legal cases. She loves horses, dogs, bluegrass, Raymond Chandler and the Coen Brothers. Her daughter is an internationally ranked professional equestrienne and horse trainer in the San Diego area. Ms. Cole-Biederman secretly hopes that one day she will move back home to Texas.
